We started our year of wedding gigs in 2017 at The Old Kent Barn, so we decided to feature this place on our first every Blog post. This gig took place in late February 2017, as we performed during Mr. & Mrs. Marsh's wedding.
Getting to The Old Kent Barn is pretty straight forward and one can realise the beauty of this place as soon as you get into the parking area. It was February and the weather was being too British, but the scenery, the old barns and the outside BBQ space was enough to get our band hyped up for this gig.
As soon as we arrived we were greeted by one of the venue managers, who quickly showed us the loading bay and also gave us a small room were we could leave our bags, get changed and eat. They also informed us about the limiter and traffic light system that they use, which one can easily see form stage (luckily we never hit red). With easy access to and from the stage we loaded in and got everything setup within minutes. Plenty of room on stage a loads of power sockets, which is a dream come true for a band.
We sat in the provided room for a couple of hours and the manager treated us with some refreshments and amazing bacon a fries baps. Everything during the night went really well and a big shout out to the staff at The Old Kent Barn for being very professional and helpful.
Thanks for having us and we hope to see you again very soon.
