Westow House is a little gem at the very top of Westow Hill, corner with Anerley Hill, next to Crystal Palace park in south east London. Tapped with a wide variety of beers, from craft beers that are there for a week (or until they run out), to your everyday lager and real ale’s. All of these beers go really nice with some delicious food from their vast menu which is suitable for everyone’s pocket and taste.
This place comes to life over the weekend with live music on Friday and Saturday nights and Jazz afternoons on Sunday. As musicians we’ve always been treated well here. There’s a full PA with a sound engineer and a house drum kit, so as musicians all we have to take is our instruments, a couple of amps (unless you want to DI) and cymbals for the kit. Band sets usually start at around 11pm with the last set finishing just before 1am.
The crowd is always very lively at Westow House and ready for a great night. Of course you get the odd ones that had one too many and want to touch your guitar or sax or keys and spill some beer on your equipment, but they don’t mean any harm, they actually do appreciate live music and good musicians.
All in all we do enjoy playing at Westow House and it never disappoints.
